I picked up this book at my son and daughter-in-law’s house while
I was visiting. After the first page I knew I should not have
picked it up because I was leaving the next day and I knew my
daughter wanted to read it. It's a page turner! I read most of
the night and in the car on the way to the airport. I knew I would
be able to sleep on the plane. If you like a good mystery, you
will like this book.

Nine Days to Evil is
an impressive first book. The plot carries you on and keeps you
reading. West held my interest to the end with her interesting,
believable characters. The book is enriched by information from
the main character's graduate school classes in literature and
psychology. This is a good, fast read.

Awesome!
The book carries a very thought provoking series of events which
keeps the reader in constant suspense. The interweaving of the
mystery along with the academic and psychological plots in it
make the book hard to put down. It is an exciting book, and the
author certainly should be complimented.

Fascinating
Mystery. As a psychologist and Shakespeare aficionado, I thoroughly
enjoyed Nine Days to Evil.
How clever and diabolical the antisocial personality can be in
manipulating the trust of someone who believes he is genuine.
Nancy Glass West did a superb job of characterization and maintaining
intrigue throughout her novel. I look forward to the sequel!

Good Summer Read. Nancy and I are Lake House neighbors. I knew
she was writing a book and I was thrilled to buy it when it was
published. When you know someone but not all that well you don't
know what to expect of their writing talents. I was pleasantly
surprised at how good it was. I'm a big reader, especially mysteries
and I've got to say she is right up there with all of the other
top mystery authors. I know she is working on a second book. I
can see her sitting on her patio writing, and I wonder what she
is writing about. What is the plot on this next book going to
be? I can't wait to read it!

Hooked from the first. I found myself hooked early in this mystery
with chores put aside so that I could read. Both plot and characters
are skillfully drawn. Nine Days to
Evil opens with a phone call, a crash, and a disappearance,
and moves quickly and suspensefully through the nine days. At
the end, I had the impression of having met new friends that I
would get to know much better as the mysteries progress.

Well
paced with believable characters. Nancy West’s Nine
Days to Evil is quickly paced with vivid, believable
characters. She knows how to make you care about them, the good
and the evil, and how to build suspense around their interplay.
The plot is imaginative and complicated and moves seamlessly to
a surprising but satisfying climax.

When to trust...when to fight? When trust can't save her, Meredith
Laughlin summons courage to fight for her life. Meredith's dilemma
and the intriguing characters she meets make this a fascinating
read.
